Which Pizza will I pick tonight?

Around where we live, there are several pizza places in every town. Some have been around for decades while others only last a couple of years. They all have their own character and appeal to specific crowds. But my heart and belly always go back to my home town pizza Famous Pizza.

I remember walking with friends after Middle School to have a slice of pizza when they were a small pizza shop. I would crave the slice all day and it never disappointed at the end of the day. Over the years, they have grown larger and have a nice family restaurant in the same location. It is still family run and you can feel the love as soon as you walk in the door. If you ask anyone from Bethel what their favorite pizza restaurant is, they will always point you towards Famous Pizza.

Social media creates noise

We had our son’s 6th birthday party at Famous Pizza this past weekend and the most common question we heard was “How did you know they did this here?” This got me thinking that perhaps they need to get their events more social. They do an amazing job at keeping up with social media currently but creating some new excitement might introduce new families in town to what the rest of us already know and love.

Best times to post – B2C

People tend to use social media when they have breaks in their busy days. This can be first thing in the morning before starting the day, during their lunch break and when they are winding down their day.

The following are the best times to post on social media according to 25 studies in this recent CoSchedule Blog.

Instagram –

The best time for businesses selling consumer products on Instagram is before work, over lunch, and when people are relaxing at home late at night.

8 am, 1 pm, and 9 pm

Facebook –

As seen with Instagram, people tend to use Facebook when they have breaks in their day.

9 am to 10 am, 12 pm to 1 pm, 4 pm to 5 pm

Twitter –

People will use Twitter all day because it’s so constantly updated. But people will do their heaviest social media usage when they’re waking up and winding down.

8 am to 10 am, Noon, 7 pm to 9 pm

Content calendar

I have created a social media calendar with a week’s worth of content to be used by Famous Pizza to not only promote their amazing pizza but highlight why it’s a favorite spot of those in and around Bethel. The calendar includes suggested content they can use on the social media channels Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The social media posts will increase traffic to their site and create noise about what they have to offer to the community.

And remember if you are ever in Bethel, C.T.; be sure to visit a home town favorite. I promise you will not be disappointed.
